Privilege price promise to continue rewarding safe drivers

Guarantee to beat renewal quote for motorists with four years or more no claims discount extended.

Privilege Insurance has announced that it will continue to guarantee to beat any car insurance renewal quote for drivers with four years or more no claims discount.  The decision extends the guarantee, which was first introduced when the Privilege brand re-launched in August 2004, and comes at a time when independent research has found Privilege to be cheapest for drivers in its target ‘safe driver’ market .

Around 70% of drivers fall into the “four years+ no claims” category – approximately 21 million motorists in total.

The decision to extend the guarantee until January 2006 coincides with the second instalment of Privilege’s “you don’t have to be posh to be privileged” marketing campaign, starring Joanna Lumley.  The latest TV ad features Joanna as the eponymous monarch of the ‘Queen’s Café’ telling diners at a greasy spoon that they don’t have to be posh to get cheaper car insurance.

Privilege Insurance managing director Ian Parker comments:

“Our guarantee rewards motorists who take care on the roads.  Unlike some other insurers we don’t target a particular age group or area – all you need is four or more claim-free years and we will guarantee to beat your renewal quote.”

Existing Privilege customers looking to renew their policies will also continue to benefit from highly competitive rates.  Ian Parker continues:

“We don’t want to fall into the ‘new customers only’ trap.  It’s important that we continue to look after existing customers by offering them competitive renewal quotes as well as great service.”

Privilege specialises in offering highly competitive insurance for safe drivers, with a guarantee to beat renewal quotes for any driver with 4 years + no claims discount.
