Extra cover and support NHS workers

From healthcare assistants to radiographers and everything in between, NHS staff are putting themselves out there to help keep us safe. We want to do our bit for them, which is why we’re giving NHS workers extra cover and support.
  • If you work for the NHS and have Buildings Insurance with us, you now get free Home Emergency cover – this covers you against everything from a burst pipe to a broken boiler.
  • NHS workers who have our Contents Cover now get free Personal Possessions Cover on the way to, and from, work – up to £1000 for mobiles, tablets and laptops.
  • We’re making changes to the way we work, so we can quickly identify NHS workers and make claims as easy as possible.
  • And we’re prioritising motor repairs for non-drivable vehicles used by NHS workers.

NHS workers get all this cover automatically until 30th June

You don’t have to do a thing. If you contact us to make a claim, all you’ll need is your NHS registration number.

Are you owed a refund?

Many customers are driving their cars less because of lockdown. Your insurance premium is partially based on estimated mileage, so if you expect your annual mileage to reduce by at least 1,000 miles, you may be due a refund.
